Black-Legged Kittiwakes Rissa

Black-Legged Kittiwakes nest in rocky niches in vertical cliffs. While breeding and nesting, the adults lose black markingss otherwise seen behind the eye, on the back of the neck, and on the leading edge of the wings. A few feet above these nests, Atlantic Puffins roosted on the grassy bluff-tops. Both species feed on small marine life.
