A juvenile Egg-Yolk Jelly, found drifting off the open coast of Big Sur. This tiny youngster, just a few inches long, will develop many more tentacles

Photographed at Pfeiffer Pinnacle, Big Sur Coast, Monterey Bay National Mari in Central California on June 10, 2000 with a Nikon F4 with 60mm macro lens, two Ikelite 50 strobes. Fuji Velvia.
