Risso\'s Dolphin Grampus
griseus
\"Casper\" the friendly, ghostly white Risso\'s Dolphin was first seen in Monterey Bay in 2015. His white color is probably not because he is albino, but because of a similar condition called leucism, that suppresses skin pigmentation. In this 2021 photo he was near shore in Pacific Grove.
Photographed at Pacific Grove, CA in Central California on June 23, 2021 with a D7200, 80-400mm VR lens.
